What Bookstorm publishes

We publish a very select range of books for the general reading public in South Africa – books that will have a market in South African bookshops. Our focus is currently on non-fiction books for adult readers.

How to submit a manuscript

Bookstorm currently only publishes non-fiction titles aimed at the South African market. We don’t currently publish any children’s books.

We strongly suggest that you read Basil van Rooyen’s book Get Your Book Published in 30 (Relatively) Easy Steps for general advice on getting published in South Africa.

We do not publish many unsolicited manuscripts, but if you think that your book would suit our publishing list or would like to test your idea with us please send us the following information:

– a synopsis of your manuscript,
– at least 3 sample chapters,
– a description of the target market and,
– a profile of the author

We will try to get back to you within a month, but we can’t make promises in this regard – we are a small team, and reading time depends on our general workload.
